Planet Blue Pictures has confirmed a global distribution update for the acclaimed two part series Beyond Siberia: Riding the Road of Bones. Through a strategic partnership with Thought Films, supported by Blue Pie Records USA and Ordior, the documentary is now accessible through a streamlined network of international streaming platforms.

Produced and directed by Robin Newell, the documentary chronicles a massive 30,000 kilometer motorcycle expedition from London to Magadan, Russia. Over the course of four months, 16 riders traverse a quarter of the Earth’s surface, navigating the historical Silk Road and the unforgiving Mongolian wilderness before entering the Siberian tundra. The series is lauded for its high stakes and historical depth, featuring an atmospheric score by composer James Collins and narration by world renowned adventure personality Charley Boorman.

The expedition’s final chapter takes place on the infamous Road of Bones, a 2,000 kilometer track in Siberia built during the Stalin era. The film serves as a somber tribute to the estimated two million people who perished during the road’s construction, their remains famously used as road fill.
